PURPOSE:To promptly correct a valve lower limit opening to a target idle speed opening, by preventing a lower limit value from correcting a study value to be limited till it coincides with an ISC valve opening when resetting of a volatile memory power supply is detected after it is removed. CONSTITUTION:The method, cancelling a study value PG being stored in BU- RAM if a battery is removed at time t1 and resetting the battery at time t2, gives an initial value to an opening P and the study value PG if a switch is turned on at time t3. And the method by feedback control corrects the opening P to be reduced by a step alpha by alpha while the study value PG to be reduced by a step gamma by gamma, but the method holds the opening P to an opening PG-beta till time t5 when the PG-beta reaches the opening corresponding to a target idle speed because the opening P is limited to the lower limit opening PG-beta at time t4. The method, preventing during this time the study value PG from being limited by a lower limit value PGMIN and gradually decreasing the study value to be corrected, finishes a study by obtaining a relation where PG=P at time t6. Accordingly, the method improves the efficiency of fuel consumption by promptly decreasing also the lower limit opening of an ISC valve to be corrected to a suitable value. |
