The process comprises clearing of the hot filtered stock in a mixed column of resins, ion exchangers and hydrophobic material with super-saturation of the resins. With adsorption, washing is carried out with NaCl soln. prior to elution of the acid salt. The washing is carried out with water or with 0.5 per cent sodium chloride in water and then with water without appreciable losses. The elution is undertaken with 5 per cent lithium chloride, the more active fractions being selected, with penicillinase inhibition by the hydroxylamine method or by valoration of the acid in the presence of NaOH.
