PURPOSE:To prevent the fuel clogging due to icing by dividing the bleed air of a variable venturi type carburetor into two systems and controlling the flow rate according to water temperature in one system and controlling the bleed air by an opening/closing valve in the other and supplying the both bleed air into fuel through a common chamber. CONSTITUTION:A needle valve 4 is fixed at the edge surface of a slidable piston installed onto the upstream side of a throttle valve 6. The amount of fuel supply is controlled by the gap between the needle 4 and a jet 21. Bleed air is supplied into the jet 21 part through a hole 25, and the bleed air is supplied from two systems of the holes 26 and 27. When engine temperature is low, the hole 34 of a wax 32 is throttled by a valve 33 according to the cooling-water temperature, and air is supplied according to the rise of the water temperature, and since the amount of air is little, icing is generated at the hole 25 part, and also the jet is closed. In this case, air is supplied from the hole 27 by opening a valve 40, and the air is mixed in a common chamber 24, and icing is prevented and the mixed gas is made thin. |
