Electric motor including at least one sliding conductor consisting of a material contg. at least copper, on which a carbon brush is moved, esp. a collector motor, is claimed in which an electrically conductive film (8) is applied on the slider (5). The film exhibits lubricating properties. The film (8) exerts an action of adherence in the sense of displacement of the brush. The film may be a layer of oxide, the slide (5) being oxidised, esp. cuprous oxide. The slide is oxidised by liquid or gaseous oxidant e.g. by impregnation with KMnO4 or H2O2.
