The abrasive-blasting machine has a pressure vessel (1) which can be subjected to an operating pressure by a compressed-gas source and out of which a granular abrasive medium passes, via a metering device (4, 12, 15), into a mixing head (7), connected to the compressed-gas source, and from there, by means of the compressed gas, to the blasting nozzle. In order to be able to supply the abrasive-medium quantity, which is to be supplied to the mixing head (7), accurately and in a reproducible manner and without repeated re-adjustment, the invention provides that the metering device (4, 12, 15) has an internally cylindrical body (12) with a conveying worm (15) arranged rotatably therein. The external diameter of the conveying worm (15) is at least approximately equal to the internal diameter of the internally cylindrical body (12), the latter being designed in an elastomeric manner and it being possible to subject the exterior of said body, at least approximately, to the operating pressure. <IMAGE>
