LASER GENERATING APPARATUS

PURPOSE:To prevent the quality change of laser beams by a method wherein the difference in temperature between the center of a laser beam transmission window and its periphery is reduced by providing a cooling mechanism for circulating liquid around this window and a mechanism for cooling this window by spraying gas to it through a nozzle. CONSTITUTION:The wall of a container 2 with an encapsulated laser medium 1 is provided with a window 3 made of an alkali halide substance and transmissing laser beams, and the window 3 is cooled by circulating cooling water 7 to a window holder 6 around the window 3. The nozzle 11 is provided obliquely in front of the window 3, and the window 3 is cooled by spraying a gas 12 from the direction of an arrow 13 at approx. 50l per min.
