ANCHORING DEVICE OF OPTICAL FIBER UNIT

PURPOSE:To prevent an optical fiber core from the increase of transmission loss or the generation of disconnection accident by arranging an excessive length storing part for storing the excessive length of an optical fiber between the 1st and 2nd fixing parts so that the optical fiber unit can be moved in the applying direction of tension. CONSTITUTION:Optical fiber cores 1b separated one by one at the leading end of an optical fiber unit 1 are drawn out from a passage 27, collected again at a curve protector 32 and adhered to the inside of the protector with adhesives, but the optical fiber cores 1 are stored as an excessive length between the leading end of the unit 1 and the protector 32 and elastically supported by an excessive length supporting part 30. On the other hand, center tensile strength line 1a is fixed on a caulking sleeve 28 and anchored with a prescribed force by an adjusting nut 29 screwed into the sleeve 28. The optical fiber unit 1 led into the 1st stay 23 is anchored at its outer periphery by the stay 23 with adhesives and its center part is anchored to the 3rd stay 26 by the sleeve 28 fixed on the center tensil strength line 1a. When tensile force impressed to a cable is a fixed value or less, the optical fiber unit 1 can be completely prevented from the leading phenomenon into a metallic pressure resisting layer 2.
