<p>Apparatus and methods for applying coating compositions consisting of plural ingredients to traffic surfaces are disclosed. The apparatus includes a frame and wheels for supporting the frame upon the traffic surface to be coated and plural supply source containers mounted on the frame, one for each of the ingredients of the ultimate composition. A dispensing means is provided for each of the supply sources for depositing the corresponding ingredient directly upon the traffic surface, the dispensing means being so clustered as to deposit the ingredients in close proximity to each other, and means are provided for mixing the ingredients on the traffic surface and finishing the surface of the coating. The mixing means comprises a stirring and smoothing tool having depending blades substantially radiating from an axis normal to the traffic surface, a motor on the frame, power transmission means connecting the tool and the motor for rotating the tool about said axis, and means for supporting the tool in a position below the frame.</p> |
