PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization of the device and to decrease the time delay after recording until reproduction by providing a reproduction optical transmission hole to a slider having a recording magnetic head element section. CONSTITUTION:A part of a slider 24 including a Winchester head 21 serving as a recording magnetic head element is formed by a soft magnetic substance 23, other part of the slider 24 is formed by the nonmagnetic substance 22 and a reproduction optical transmission hole 25 is provided at the nearly center of the nonmagnetic substance 22. Then a flat convex lens 26 functioning as an objective lens is arranged on the reproducing optical transmission hole 25. Since the flat convex lens of the reproducing system is incorporated to the slider 24 of the recording system, the miniaturization of the magnetic recording and reproducing device is realized. Further, the Winchester head 21 is arranged so that it comes timewise earlier than the hole 25 and the distance between the both is shorter remarkably than that of a conventional device, then the recording state is confirmed almost simultaneously. |
