SEALED LEAD STORAGE BATTERY

PURPOSE:To inhibit loss of electrolyte so as to prevent any decrease in the capacity of a sealed lead storage battery by making the container by laminating together a thermoplastic resin having low steam permeability and a thermoplastic resin having great shock resistance. CONSTITUTION:A sealed lead storage battery is constituted by installing a plate group consisting of positive plates 4, negative plates 5 and separators 6 impregnated with a liquid electrolyte in a container 1 formed by laminating together an inner wall 2 made of a vinylidene chloride resin, polypropylene or similar material and an outer wall 4 made of ABS resin or similar material. Therefore, permeation of steam can be greatly inhibited without decreasing the structural strength of the battery by using the container 1 consisting of the inner wall 2 having low steam permeability and the outer wall 3 having great shock resistance. Accordingly it is possible to prevent any decrease in the performance of the battery which might result from loss of electrolyte.
