PURPOSE:To assure correct stopping position by removing one of horizontal or vertical components of static pressure through static pressure guide means. CONSTITUTION:Static pressure is functioned onto a sliding member 3 through static pressure guide means 6-8 such that one of the horizontal or vertical component will face between the body 1 and the sliding member 3 thus to remove one component and to pressure contact the sliding member 3 against the body 1 through the other component. Consequently, the desired stopping position of the sliding member 3 is held accurately while maintaining high rigidity for holding stoppage and to enagle highly accurate positioning/feeding. |
