PURPOSE:To form a strongly twisted edge at the arched section of bottom edge of ball endmill by providing a device for interlocking the up/down turning device of work head with turning table when moving while turning. CONSTITUTION:A work head 3 having a tool 2 for holding a rod 1 to be machined at the cutting tool (ball and mill 1) and a devide A for turning said rod 1 up and down around the horizontal axis (Y-Y) passing through the center of arched section (ball section) at the tip while perpendicular against the axis of said rod 1 are provided. Furthermore, a tool table 14 for supporting a grinding wheel 12 for grinding said rod 1 cutably and a turn table 15 for turning the tool table 14 around random vertical axis (Z'-Z') parallel with the vertical axis (Z-Z) at the center or the arched section of said rod 1 are provided. While an interlocking device B for interlocking side device A with the turn table 15 when moving while turning is also provided. Consequently, arched section can be grinded. |
