PURPOSE:To obtain tomographic images, whose number is larger than the number of layers of detector ring-shaped arrays, simultaneously within a certain time by moving a body to be examined relatively in the thickness direction of detector ring-shaped arrays. CONSTITUTION:A gantry 1 is provided with a tunnel part 2, and detector ring- shaped arrays 3 and 3 where many radiation detectors are arranged into a ring shape are arranged in two layers around this tunnel part 2. Ring-shaped collimators 4 are arranged in two layers on insides of two layers of ring-shaped arrays 3 and 3. Photographing is possible in the tunnel part 2, and a person 5 to be examined is positioned in the tunnel 2 and is placed on a top plate 7 of a bed device 6. In this case, the top plate 7 is moved through a pinion rack mechanism or the like by a motor 8 to send the person 5 into the tunnel part 2. Thus, tomographic images whose number is larger than the number of layers of ring- shaped arrays 3 are obtained without collimators or the like.
