PURPOSE:To keep a fluorescent lamp lighting at a low temperature without fail by providing a mesh-shaped heater around the fluorescent lamp so as to cover the luminous surface of this fluorescent lamp. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical mesh heater 1 made of an about 40mu thick stainless plate as a raw material, mesh-shaped by etching processing, is arranged around a fluorescent lamp 3 so as to cover the luminous surface of said fluorescent lamp. And, after detecting the outer wall temperature of the lamp 3 by means of a temperature sensor 5, the circumference of the lamp 3 is kept at a proper temperature by a temperature controller 4 for controlling supply power to the mesh heater 1. Accordingly, it is possible to keep the fluorescent lamp 3 lighting without fail even at the temperature less than 0 deg.C without reducing the transmittivity of light, as well as remove discharge noise by the shielding effect of the mesh heater 1. |
