PURPOSE:To inhibit the corrosion of a heat exchanger by making the concn. of hydrazine in water at the outside of a heat exchanger tube in the heat exchanger higher than the concn. required to remove dissolved oxygen so as to form a reducing atmosphere at the secondary side of the heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION:In a heat exchanger, heat is transferred through a heat exchanger tube, and evaporation is carried out at the outside (secondary side) of the heat exchanger tube. Hydrazine is added to water at the secondary side, and the concn. of hydrazine in the water is kept higher than the concn. required to remove dissolved oxygen. The corrosion preventing effect of hydrazine itself is produced. |
