A sun or wind screen is made of a sheet (1), of plastic or similar material, which is stretch over a framework. The framework consists of two external ribs (2, 6) and several intermediate ribs (3, 4, 5) and rib extremities are fixed to a hub (7). The ribs are connectd to the hub on a common axis or several parallel axes, perpendicular to the part of the screen adjoining the hub. The two external ribs are joined to one intermediate rib (4) by two bracing bars (8, 9) and sleeves (10, 11) which can slide on the intermediate rib on each of the external ribs.
