PURPOSE:To obtain sheets having almost free from the attachment of refuse and high color-formed image stability by providing an overcoat composed of colloidal inorganic silicate or colloidal inorganic silicate, water-soluble high polymer compound and/or insoluble high polymer compound on a thermosensitive color- forming layer. CONSTITUTION:An application liquid of colloidal inorganic silicate or this silicate and water-soluble high polymer or/and water and insoluble high polymer as aqueous colloid or emulsion, is prepared and then is applied to the surface of a thermal recording layer. This layer should be 0.5-8mum thick. The colloidal inorganic silicate is a non-water soluble inorganic silicate and its fine particles are swollen in water and spread in colloidal form. Colloidal aluminium silicate, etc. are used. Methyl cellulose, etc. are used as water-soluble high polymer compounds and vinyl polyacetate, etc. as insoluble high polymers. An application liquid composed of common color-forming material, color-developing material, bonding agent, filler and other additives is applied to paper, film, synthetic paper, etc. to make the thermal recording sheet with an overcoat. |
