PURPOSE:To correct skew feeding at the front end sections of sheets by contrarotating a platen and aligning the front ends of sheets on a contact line between the platen and a pinch roller extending over the whole width. CONSTITUTION:When the front end of a sheet 13 passes on a contact line between a platen 4 and a pinch roller 6 and is forwarded by approximately 10mm.- 15mm., the revolution of a paper-feed roller shaft 35 is inhibited. A paper-feed motor is contrarotated, and the sheet 13 is returned, but the revolution of the motor at that time is not trasmitted over a paper-feed roller 37. The front end of the sheet 13 is aligned on a contact line between the platen 4 and a pinch roller 6a extending over the whole width. Proper resistance is applied to the sheet 13 by a bulge-out section 7 formed to a paper pan 5 at that time, and the over-return of the sheet 13 is prevented. The paper-feed motor is forward turned again under the state in which the front end of the sheet 13 is aligned. |
