For the improvement of the determination of the colours of teeth for producing dental replacements using differently coloured veneering compositions, there is provided a carrier element, on which at least two of the veneering compositions in platelet form, e.g. enamel, dentine and neck compositions, are arranged so as to lie side by side, a number of such carrier elements being detachably fixed on a colour chart. The carrier elements are preferably mounted magnetically on the colour chart.
