The invention describes a method of producing a wax model for a dental crown to be fastened on a dental stump (10) in which the dental stump (10) is covered with a cap (14) and the cap (14) is covered with wax such that the surface (12) of the wax is adapted at least approximately to the antagonist of the dental crown to be modelled, while forming protuberances (16) separated from each other by profiles (18), and a container for use in such a method. At the same time, wax bodies (20) at least resembling spheres are successively applied on to the cap (14) whose size is approximately adapted to fit the gap between the cap (14) and the antagonist in the closed position of the teeth. The container used in this method has separate compartments in which wax bodies (20) of different sizes are stored, wax bodies (20) of the same volume being stored in each compartment. <IMAGE> |
