PURPOSE:To make it possible to prevent the contamination in an apparatus due to the leakage of emitted ink, by providing a means for detecting the limit of the absorbing capacity of an abnorbing body receiving ink emitted at the time of test injection. CONSTITUTION:A reflective type optical sensor 7 consisting of a light emitting part 7a and a light receiving part 7b is provided in the side opposite to a head 1 so as to be opposed to an emitted ink receiver 4 constituted of an absorbing body 4a comprising white sponge and a transparent film member 4b. An emitted ink droplet 6 is absorbed by the absorbing body 4a as shown by a numeral 6' but, when the absorbed ink is not absorbed and penetrated to a degree reaching a back side position 4c, light L is reflected and the sensor 7 is brought to an ON-state for example. When ink is penetrated to contaminate the detection position 4c and comes to definite density, reflected light is lost and the sensor 7 comes to an OFF-state to detect that ink absorbing capacity approached a limit and replacement indication is informed by a lamp or buzzer. |
