PURPOSE:To separate and purify a fiomembrane protein extracted and solubilized from animal organs, culture cells, microbe cells, plant cells, etc. effectively and industrially at a low cost, by using gel electrophoresis method in the coexistence of a specific surfactant. CONSTITUTION:A biomembrane protein is separated and purified by using gel electrophoresis method in the coexistence of a surfactant expressed by the formula RO-(XO)m-(YO)n-SO3M[R represents 6-22C alkyl or alkylphenyl; X and Y each represent 1-4C hydrocarbon; m and n each represent 0-20, provided that m+n=4-40; M represents alkali or alkaline earth metal, amine or ammonium] [example; C12H25O(CH2CH2O)8SO3Na, etc.]. |
