摘要 |
PURPOSE:To obtain a catalyst carrier having high activity and good stability at high temp., by converting composite oxide of a rare earth element and aluminum having a large specific surface area to a precursor capable of being changed to beta-alumina. CONSTITUTION:Composite oxide of a rare earth element such as lanthanum or neodium and aluminum having a specific surface area of 10m<2>/g is converted to a precursor capable of being changed to beta-alumina when the rare earth element and beta-alumina are heated at 1,000 deg.C or more within 2hr. Thus obtained catalyst carrier is reduced in the lowering in activity even at a high temp. range and has high thermal stability. |
