<p>PURPOSE:To smoothly change the posture of a chassis on turning by constituting the captioned apparatus so as to obtain the nonlinear characteristic in which the front-wheel steering angle with respect to the steering angle of a steering wheel increases within a small steering-angle range of the steering wheel and said steering angle reduces, over said range. CONSTITUTION:A front center lever 3 is turned by shifting a rack shaft 2a in the axial direction by the revolution of a steering wheel 1, and the right and left front wheels 5 are steered through a tie-rod 4 and a knuckle arm 5, the right and left rear wheels 14 are steered similarly by the movement of an input shaft 11 interlocked with the above-described lever 3. The front edge part of said lever 3 is axially supported by a shaft 9 onto the rear edge part of a front link 8 axially installed 7 onto a chassis side member 6, and a fitting member 31 fixed at the top edge of the side arm part 3a is fitted into an S-shaped cam groove 101 of a cam member 10 fixed onto the chassis side member 6. While, also a rear-wheel steering apparatus is equipped with a rear center lever 12, rear link 16, and a cam member 18.</p> |
