PURPOSE:To prevent lowering of detetion accuracy due to microadjustment of type mark detector and avoid danger when adjustment is done during operation, by producing different print timing signals through variation of predetermined time by means of a variable device. CONSTITUTION:A print timing adjusting circuit 14 which delays type mark signal from a type mark detector 1 by a predetermined duration is provided in a control circuit B'. An operator panel 50 which sets delay time of type mark signal to the adjusting circuit 14 consists of a display device 51 to indicate delay time N, a switch 52 to increase delay time N and a switch 53 to decrease delay time N. This makes it possible to perform microadjustment of timing of printing electrically, with the type mark detector kept fixed and to incorporate valuables such as velocity, voltage and temperature into adjustment of timing of printing by taking these valuables into account in the setting of adjustment value N. In addition, no danger is caused even when adjustment is during operation. |
