PURPOSE:To measure the concn. of peroxide with high accuracy and to make continuously the measurement by mixing a reducing agent with a sample contg. the peroxide and measuring the calorific value in the stage of subjecting the same to reduction decomposition. CONSTITUTION:The sample contg. the peroxide, for example, H2O2, hydroperoxide, etc. is introduced through a sample supply port 1. A reducing agent, for example, sulfite, phosphine, phosphite, etc. is introduced through a reducing agent supplying port 2. The peroxide and the reducing agent are mixed in a mixing part 8 and the mixture is advanced to a spiral tube reaction part 5. The peroxide is subjected to the reduction decomposition by the reducing agent in said part so as to generate heat. The temp. difference is then detected by a thermometer 6 for the temp. before the reaction and a thermometer 7 for the temp. after the reaction and the calorific value is determined. The part 5 is put into a thermostatic chamber 9 to maintain the specified temp. The sample is thus introduced continuously into the reaction part and since the calorific value is large, the continuous measurement of the concn. of the peroxide with high accuracy is made possible and the instrument is constituted simple. |
