摘要 PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for titration, setting the injection of a titration liquid as calculated by the specified formula to minimize the excess at the final point. CONSTITUTION:Chemical change of a titration liquid in a titration tank is detected as electrical signal each time the titration liquid is injected into the tank. The subsequent injection X of the titration liquid is calculated by the formula from rates of change DELTAPH1 and DELTAPH2 obtained by respective amounts of change in electric signals before and after the injection, preceding and the last but one, of the titration liquid by the values corresponding to the respective amounts of injection thereof, the value PHE corresponding to the PH at the final point and the value PHN corresponding to the current PH. As the subsequent amount of titration can be calculated using the rate of change theta in DELTAPH1 based on the DELTAPH2 obtained at the time last but one as variable, the forecast line B can be approximate to the variation curve of PH. In the titration of this invention, a sample solution having a buffer capacity can be titrated causing no excess at the final point without no time lag in the measuring speed regardless of variations in the buffer capacity.
