This parking lock system comprises a joint(15), interposed between a front vehicle body and a rear vehicle body. The front and rear vehicle bodies are rollable to each other. The joint comprises a case (15i) and supporting shafts(18) which can rotate with each other. A lock plate (22) is installed on the shaft and a lock adjuster(24) is installed on the case, so that they are rollable to each other. The lock plate is engaged with the lock adjuster by adjusting an operator(28). There is some space at one end of one of the supporting shafts in the case. The operator, an adjusting cable and a connection mechanism, to connect the former and the latter, are packed into this space.
