Process is carried out by relatively moving the strip as cathode rapidly passed a metal cylinder as anode. A gap is created between the two into which continually fresh electrolyte is directed. - The gap between the strip and anode is adjusted by changing the relative speed of the two and by changingthe strip tension. It is adjusted to be 2mm. The elecrolyte in the gap can be exposed to an electric or magnetic field to improve the precipitation of the metal on the strip.
