The cistern is mounted rearwardly offset on the basin by a separate mounting bracket (128) fastened to the basin. An interconnecting duct (130) carries flush water to the basin interior via an inlet pipe (131) and an aperture in the back of the basin. The mounting bracket is fabricated as a hollow one-piece body providing load bearing support and location for the cistern and the integral duct. - The bracket functions to locate and hold the inlet pipe section of the duct in position in registry with the inlet aperture in the basin back. A spreader can be carried in the downstream forward end of the inlet pipe, directing the flush water in divergent streams around the bowl.
|
