A telecommunication cable has a core of a relatively hard monofilament, covered by a relatively soft external layer. Several spaced electrical conductors or optical fibres are embedded in the latter at least partly. A protective sheath covers the entire cable. - Such a telecommunication cable is simple to manufacture with a precise spacing of the conductors. An extruder tool ensures a precise alignment of the central part before an extruder applies the protective sheath.
