<p>The device allows the vehicle position coordinates and its direction angle to be determined using two light beams (7,8) which horizontally scan the zone in which the guided vehicle (F) moves from respective reference points (U,V). Two cooperating photodetectors (A,B) are mounted on each vehicle (F). The signals provided are trionometrically combined using a processor. - A synchronisation transmitter (19) provides an omnidirectional synchronisation signal received by a receiver (20) onboard the vehicle (F). A timer associated with the processor, is synchronised with the pivoted light beams (7,8).</p> |
