PURPOSE:To prevent a nozzle valve and a seat piece from being worn due to impurities in inferior heavy oil, by making the nozzle valve and the seat piece with the use of a ceramic material, and to relax shocks upon seating of the nozzle valve, by coupling the nozzle body with a front end piece with the use of a nut member. CONSTITUTION:In a fuel injection valve Z which is adapted to be incorporated in a Diesel-engine which uses inferior heavy oil as fuel, a stepped shaft-like nozzle body 2 in which a valve fitting hole 31 is formed, is disposed in the shaft part of the fuel injection valve Z. In this arrangement a shaft-like ceramic nozzle body 1 is slidably disposed in the valve fitting hole 31. Further, a ceramic seat piece 5 formed with a valve seat 15 onto which the valve head 11 of the nozzle valve 1 is seated, is disposed between the front end 2b of the nozzle body 2 and a fitting hole 32 in a front end piece 3. Further, the nozzle body 2 and the front end piece 3 are coupled together by means of a nut member 4 formed therein with female threads 23, 24 which are threadedly engaged with male threads 21, 22 formed, respectively in the nozzle body 2 and the front end piece 3. |
