PURPOSE:To enhance the adhesive strength between a magnetic head core and a reinforcing plate by bringing the first glass material into contact with the second glass material having the working temp. higher than that of the first glass material and the transition point lower than the working temp. of the first glass material, and joining the magnetic hed core to the reinforcing plate. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic core 1 is joined to a reinforcing plate 2 by depositing low-melting point glass A on the opposing joining surfaces, further depositing glass B having m.p. lower than that of the glass A on the layer of glass A on the reinforcing plate, then combining the opposing joining surfaces, and heating. The working temp. is regulated to a temp. at which the viscosity of the glass is 10<4> poise. The thickness ratio of the glass A layer to the glass B layer is regulated to 5/2-10/1 to obtain a desired effect, and the thickness of the glass B is regulated to <=2mum. Besides, the coefficients of linear expansion of glass A and B are perferably equalized, and the maximum difference limit is regulated to 10X10<-7>deg<-1>. |
