PURPOSE:To obtain a transfer unit easily attachable and detachable by performing the reciprocating movement in the transfer direction and the opening and closing of a pair of holding arms independently with an air pressure device and by constituting to provide a time lag in said opening and closing and reciprocation. CONSTITUTION:A pair of holding arms 10, 10 and a set of fingers 11, 11 opposing therewith are provided on the mobile stand 2 which is provided movably in reciprocation in the transfer direction, and the arm 10 is made openable and closable by an air cylinder 14 and the mobile stand 2 is made mobile in reciprocation in the transfer direction by an air loader 5 via crank mechanisms 7, 8. The air cylinder 14 and air loader 5 are motioned at the intervals of a time lag by switchover valves 17, 18 which are operated with linking to the automated machine and after the completion of the opening and closing motions of the arm 10 the mobile stand 2 is made to start.
