<p>The casement (5) of a window is articulated on a fixed frame (1) via turning hinges (2). Each turning hinge (2) is equipped, on the fixed frame, with a T-shaped fastening part (10), the hooking projections (11, 12) of which engage behind the holding webs (13, 14) of an anchoring groove (15). By means of pressure screws which are guided through threaded bores of the fastening part (10) and which are supported on the bottom of the groove (15), the fastening parts (10) are secured to the fixed frame (1). The undercut of one hooking projection (11) is increased by the amount of the undercut of the other hooking projection (12), so that the T-shaped fastening parts (10) can be pivoted into the anchoring groove (15). Inserted in the region of the undercut hooking projection (11) is a resiliently elastic cord which, when the fastening part (10) pivots into the anchoring groove (15), is first compressed and as a result of its elasticity, after the fastening part (10) has snapped in, ensures that the opposite hooking projection (12) comes behind the anchoring web (14) in the desired way. Sliding blocks (6) which are pushed into a holding groove (7) are provided for fixing the turning hinge (2) to the casement (5).
