PURPOSE:To prevent a developer from being spilt out to the outside from a gap, by closing up a gap of the lower end part of an opening part formed on a housing which has contained a carrying body, and the surface of the carrying body, by a sealing member which has been abutted by a prescribed pressure. CONSTITUTION:One end of a sealing member 6 which has an arc-shaped section and extends in the direction of a material shaft 2a of a carrying body 2 is fixed to the tip of a bottom wall 1a of a housing 1, and as for the other end of the sealing member 6, its projecting surface side abuts by a prescribed pressure to an outside peripheral surface 2c of the carrying body 2. In this case, as for a contact pressure of the sealing member 6 and the carrying body surface 2c, its lower limit value is set so that a developer 10 accumulated on the bottom wall 1a does not flow out to the outside through a contact part of both the members 2, 6. On the other hand, its upper limit value is set so that the developer 10 adhering onto the carrying body surface 2c is not scraped down by the sealing member 6. From such a viewpoint, generally, as for its contact pressure, a line pressure within a range of 20-200g/cm is desirable. |
