The clip has a wire loop (1), one end being hooked and driven into a blind hole (6) in the tip of a tightening screw (7), which can be rotated within a tapped hole (8) in the screw bearing. The screw bearing has two insertion holes (9) spaced some distance apart. The other end (2) of the wire loop is, hooked and selectively and releasably engaged in one insertion hole (9) or the other, according to whether the hose has a right- or left-handed helix. The loop wire (1) adjacent the releasable end (2) can be laid in one or other of guide recesses (10) in the side of the screw bearing adjacent the wire loop.
