Composite panels having good flexibility and vibration-damping properties. The panels 1 are produced from cellular materials, reinforced, expanded polyurethane, glass fibre and surface fabric or netting. For sporting applications, and particularly those for gymnastics, they can receive, in their lower part, elastic pads 2 produced by springs 7 which are embedded, totally or partially, in an absorbent material 6. These panels are light to manipulate and enable a flooring or vertical claddings to be obtained which have good flexibility as well as good absorption of vibrations whilst remaining noiseless when stresses are applied. The method of manufacture also makes it possible to obtain non-plane shapes having the same characteristics mentioned previously. <IMAGE>
