PURPOSE:To make sealing operation of a battery steady, prevent generation of scratches and rust on the outer surface of a can by forming the matted surface having a specified surface roughness factor on the inner surface of a sealing mold. CONSTITUTION:A negative terminal plate 7 is coupled with a positive can 1, and they are inserted into a sealing mold 10a from the lower side by applying a specified pressure with a plunger 10b to seal them. The inner surface 10c of the sealing mold 10a is machined in the matted surface having a surface roughness factor of 1S-0.5S. Thereby, sticking of the can to the mold is prevented, and peeling off of plated nickel layer on the surface of the can is prevented. |
