For the device for influencing the suspension of cross-country vehicles, at least two hydraulic working cylinders 1 and 2 are provided, which are pivotably attached on opposite sides of the vehicle between the sprung and the unsprung mass. Each working cylinder 1 and 2 is divided by the working piston 3 into a pressure chamber 5 and a tension chamber 6, to each of which a fluid accumulator 10 is connected for equalisation of the piston rod volume 4. Hydraulic lines 7 and 8 lead off the pressure chambers 5 and 6 to a 4/3-way valve 9. The working cylinders 1 and 2 function as dampers, when in each working cylinder 1 or 2, the pressure chamber 5 and the tension chamber 6 are interconnected by way of the 4/3-way valve 9. If the pressure chambers 5 are connected to the tension chambers 6 of the respective opposing working cylinders 1 or 2, the vehicle is stabilised for cornering. In the third switch position of the 4/3-way valve 9 the connections of the pressure chambers 5 to the tension chambers 6 are separated from one another so that the vehicle suspension is locked. <IMAGE>
