<p>PURPOSE:To keep the optimum environmental conditions according to each culture step, stably, and to recover the metabolic product continuously, by separating the culture part of the cell, the separation part of the metabolic product, the monitoring part of the cultivation state, and the part to control the cultivation environment. CONSTITUTION:The medium controlled to the optimum condition in the cultivation environment controlling part 2 is transferred to the cell cultivation part 1 with the pump 5a to effect the proliferation of the cell. The medium extracted from the cell cultivation part 1 with the pump 5b is monitored with the cultivation state monitoring part 3, and the data of pH, DO concentration, DCO2 concentration and temperature are inputted via the I/O port 6 to the arithmetic processor 7. The growing state of the cell is estimated from the accumulated pH variation or the variation of the rate of oxygen consumption. The medium can be maintained constantly to the optimum condition by feeding nitrogen, oxygen or carbon dioxide gas from the gas feed regulator 8, adding an alkali from the alkali container 9, and controlling the revolution speed of the stirrer, etc. of the cultivation environment controlling part 2 to effect the control of each parameter.</p> |
