A drive component causes the measurement arm and the right and left legs of the patient to execute a movement relative to the chair. Control components feed in data relating to a planned strength development in the legs of the patient, and control the drive component in accordance with the data, the measurement arm carrying out a movement pattern in accordance with a predetermined programme. A strength development measuring unit is connected to the arm. The patient being investigated in strapped to the chair and for example his left leg is clamped to the arm. An adjuster is provided to centre the knee of the patient correctly, and serves to adjust the drive unit and the arm in a height direction. A further adjuster allows their adjustment horizontally. - During the movement pattern of the patient, corresp. data are indicated on a unit with lamps. The strength development exerted against the forced movement of the arm is monitored through the measuring unit which passes signal to an amplifier connected to a computer. A pulsator provides simultaneously a signal indicating the angle position at each point in time for a shaft driven by the drive component and which drives the measurement arm. |
