PURPOSE:To control simply and accurately the height of a mobile plate that is moved with a head loading magnet by providing a control screw to the main body of a floppy disk driver. CONSTITUTION:A floppy disk 3 put into a main body 1 is set so that is can be revolved. Under such conditions, a lower head 6b of a head mechanism 6 has a contact with a magnetic recording face 3a of a floppy disk 3. An upper head 6a of the mechanism 6 is held up by the upper surface side of a mobile plate 9 that moves by a head loading magnet 8. A prescribed gap A is secured between the face 3a and a head face 6c of the head 6a. When a contact is desired between the head 6a and the face 3a, the magnet 8 is energized to pull down the plate 9. Then the head 6a is moved down and has a contact with the face 3a. When the head 6a is detached from the face 3a, the energization of the magnet 8 is cut off. Thus the plate 9 moves up to lift the head 6a. Then the rise of the plate 9 is stopped by a buffer matter 13b set at the head of the screw 13. |
