PURPOSE:To make it possible to use both unit belts on the inner side of a vehicle body as a seat belt assembly for the center position of the vehicle body, by providing seat belt assemblies consisting of unit belts on both side parts of a seat for two persons, and by coupling both unit belts on the inner side of the vehicle body together by means of a limiting member for limiting the movement toward the vehicle center side. CONSTITUTION:A steering handle 7 which is swingable about the lower end of a steering shaft 8, may be selectively set at either one of a side position and a center position along a guide 9. In this arrangement, seat belt assemblies consisting of right and left pairs of unit belts 10, 11 are arranged on both side parts of a seat 4. The upper ends of shoulder belts 10a, 11a of the belts 10, 11 are attached to attaching parts 12 attached on a frame 13 in the rear of the seat 4. Further, the shoulder belts 10a, 11a positioned on the inner side of the vehicle body are coupled together by means of an adjusting belt 19 whose length is adjustable. With this arrangement, when the steering wheel 7 is set at the center position of the seat 4, both unit belts 10, 11 arranged on the inner side of the vehicle body may be used as a seat belt assembly for the center position. |
