<p>PURPOSE:To select the both-surface image formation and synthetic image formation by allowing a sheet member transport system to selectively execute the normal transport action and the reverse transport action in an electrostatic copying machine. CONSTITUTION:In case of synthetic picture mode, the sheet on which an image is formed by the first electrostatic copying machine is introduced into a sheet- member processing apparatus 4, and since a switching means 138 is positioned at the normal transport apparatus shown by the full line, the sheet is transported into the second electrostatic copying machine through a main transport passage 98 and an outlet port 94. While, in case of both-surface picture mode, the sheet on which an image is formed is introduced into the parts 104 and 106 of the branched transport passage 100 by the switching means 138 switched to reverse position, and the front and back surfaces are reversed by a pair of transport rollers 110 and 112 which revolve in the direction of arrow 186 through a communication transport passage 130 and a main transport passage 98 through the reverse revolution of the transport rollers 116 and 118 in the direction of arrow 188, and sent into the second electrostatic copying machine.</p> |
