The sphere of the invention is that of purely mechanical devices for the semi-automatic control of a gearbox and a clutch from a single control lever. The problem lies in constructing such a device with a booster mechanism in order to obtain a large, precise and adjustable booster effect for the user. In addition the booster mechanism can be disengaged by a specific action on the clutch pedal. According to the invention the device comprises a control device C and a booster mechanism A. The booster mechanism A has an assembly capable of rotating about a shaft provided with a roller returned by springs on a profiled rail 10a, 10b, 10c. The rotary assembly is connected to the control device C by means of a rack linkage with a mobile element guided by the control lever 1; to the clutch pedal 2 by a tension sensor connected to a disengaging device; and to the clutch control fork 6.
