PURPOSE:To obtain an photomagnetic recording medium with high performance and low cost by providing a soft magnetic planer magnetization film such as ''Permalloy'' onto a rare earth-tranition metal amorphous vertical magnetization film such as GdFe, GdCo or TbFe. CONSTITUTION:While a coercive force Hc of a GdFe film is almost unchanged and the coercive force Hc is almost uncontrolled when an FeCo film is provided onto the said film, the coercive force Hc is increased when a permalloy film is formed. Thus, the coercive force Hc is controlled by controlling the thickness of ''Permalloy'' film. The coercive force is adjusted by the soft magnetism planer magnetizing film 3, the amorphous vertical magnetization film 2 is formed easily and a high-performance optomagnetic ecording medium is obtained with a low cost. In the figure, 1 is a base, 2 is a rare-earth-transition metal amorphous vertical magnetizing film and 3 is a soft magnetic planer magnetizing film. |
