PURPOSE:To make a superconductive coil apparatus compact by winding a protective resistance wire outside of a superconductive coil. CONSTITUTION:A protective resistance wire 3 is wound non-inductively outside of a superconductive coil 1. The cross section of the protective resistance wire 3 is not only circular but also may be rectangular and the material can be copper, aluminum, stainless steel or even an alloy. The protective resistance wire 3 can be installed in a small space outside of the superconductive coil 1 and providing the bobbin for the protective resistance wire or the space within a cryostat separately is unnecessary. |
