PURPOSE:To enable testing of motion during operation, by a method wherein an exhaust valve is located between the emergency trip mechanism and the master trip valve of the overspeed trip mechanism of a steam turbine, and switching valve and an exhaust shut-off valve are provided. CONSTITUTION:In an overspeed trip mechanism I of the emergency stop device of a steam turbine, an exhaust line 13 is connected between an emergency trip valve 3 and a master trip valve 7, and a switching valve 14 for test and an exhaust shut-off valve 16 are provided for the line 13. In case test for motion of a solenoid 5 or master trip valve 7 takes place, a switch 18 is turned ON, a switching valve 14 is operated, ports (c) and (d) are intercommunicated, and emergency oil from the trip valve 3 is introduced into the shut-off valve 16 to shut off the ports (a) and (b). Even if, with this, the trip valve 7 is actuated, the emergency oil is prevented from flowing to a drain pipe 15, and no influence is exercised on a steam stop valve. |
